In a way it is good that I am getting the train to London tomorrow, it means that I can catch up on my reading and things, and complete the work for Fynes’ lesson on Monday. We have to collect job advertisements and comment on them, say what we can bring to the role not just what we can gain from it.
Looking for work is a frightening prospect, especially as I read in one of the design magazines that one guy took 14 months to find his dream job. But then again, I don’t know what my dream job would be because I have not been trained in anything in particular like other people. But then is that a good or a bad thing? I can easily move industries and I am very very eager to learn everything in the world there is to know, but then I am not a specialist in any area at all. I would love to specialise in something like carpentry or even web design. I just can’t seem to find the time to do such things, but no one else is to blame except me because I am not ready to sacrifice my social life to gain new skills and qualifications. This is my downfall, and there’s no one to blame but myself.
